Karen Nguyen

I've been blessed by having the opportunity to travel, for work and pleasure, to 50+ countries and experience the global diversity in cultures, art and cuisine. Philosophically, I feel compelled to share these experiences to the world by creating a series of companies around inspiration beginning with my first business, Inspired Art Wine (IAW), an art studio, wine bar and gallery based out of Costa Mesa, CA. Since 2016, I’ve taught close to 12,000 students at my studio across various mediums: acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. My own personal work primarily focuses on modern contemporary fluid artwork. Beyond brushes, I love experimenting with non-traditional tools including, but not limited to: business cards, corks, forks and dental floss.

I am most inspired when my mind flows organically without mental barriers. Depending on the mood, energy and atmosphere during the creative process, each piece reflects the emotions I’m feeling at the moment in time.
