Karlie Koontz

I work primarily in oil and acrylic, but I frequently venture into other mediums such as ink, collage, and mixed media. I have a background in sculpture, jewelry, and glass and use my eclectic background to dictate the nature of my work. Most of my work expresses the ideas of the collective human experience, that we give meaning through our own past experiences and the unity of having those experiences together.

I am currently attending Kent State University pursuing a BFA in Studio Art in Painting with a minor in Drawing.

I have had the privilege to be in exhibitions at Door 2 Art Studio, Akron Museum of Art, and Cleveland Museum of Art.
