Karolina Venter

Karolina was born in Hungary and moved to Australia in her early 20s. She has been creating artworks
for as long as she can remember as it has always brought her a sense of calm and release. 9 times out of 10 she will choose oils over acrylics but lately, she has gotten into restoring old surfboards and finishing
them off with sprays ranging from psychedelic outer space waves to sexy Japanese geishas.

Airbrushing surfboards has been so much fun that she applied airbrush to make create portraits, landscapes and fantasy-visionary artworks

Karolina’s painting today is heavily influenced by textile, fashion and fibre art. Ornamental elements such as patterns, repeats, stitch-work, mixed media is present in many of her current works. She is a multi-talented artist
with a variety of interests that keep her works unique, fresh and visionary.

Her inspiration to create comes from an innate urge to experiment and constantly expand her vision. Learning new skills is essential in her process as she incorporates these skills to create the unusual, the authentic, the beautiful.
