Painting is my joy…
The irresistible need for artistic activity and a love of art have existed in my life from an early age. My strong creative imperative is born from the need for nonverbal communication with the recipient. I want the viewer not to remain indifferent to my art. My goal is to activate the audience – I want my works to have an impact, to engage, sometimes to worry, and at other times to give a moment of respite – in short, to arouse emotions. My art is also intended to provide space for reflection and contemplation, and to encourage contact with our inner world, often full of carefully hidden emotions.

Wasilewska’s two most significant painting cycles are Beyond Words and Ether of Life.
Beyond Words centers around the recurring motifs of the mask and chessboard, drawing connections to themes of theater, role-playing, and interpersonal dynamics.
Ether of Life uses the delicate image of butterfly wings as an allegory for transience and sensitivity, inviting viewers to reflect on the ephemeral nature of life.
Her works are part of private collections in Poland and internationally, including in Los Angeles, where several paintings from the Ether of Life series are held. The Ether of Life series also became an inspi...
