Kateryna Penchkovska

Kateryna Penchkovska is a Ukrainian visual artist from Odesa, currently based in Ireland. She works in oil and acrylic painting alongside mixed-media drawing, primarily using pastel, charcoal and pencil on paper.

Her work moves between figurative art, landscape and imagery inspired by nature, memory and folklore. Recurring subjects include animals and birds, old urban spaces, Irish landscapes, and mysterious or otherworldly figures. She often explores the boundary between the familiar and the unseen, as well as ideas of home, memory and belonging.

Penchkovska holds a degree in Fine Art and Art Education from South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University in Odesa and also studied at the prestigious Kostandi Art School. She has worked professionally as an artist for many years across painting, drawing and applied art.

Since moving to Ireland, she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and the UK. In 2026, she curated Feeling of Home, a group exhibition of Ukrainian artists presented as part of the Clifden Arts Festival.
