Katherine Baronet

I have been making art for over 25 years and my newest body of work is so fun and playful. In the beginning of 2022 I told myself I was only going to make art that made me happy. So, I began playing with glitter paper, rainbow colors and space travel. Any thing that sparkles or would take me out to the Cosmos, I played with it. And for some reason I do not understand, I am obsessed with this tree shape. So, I decided right then and there (sitting in my studio) my new years resolution was going to be fun and magic! Katherine Baronet was born in Richmond, VA. After a 15 year career as a fashion model, which took her to many countries in Europe and Japan, she returned to college to complete her Bachelor Degree in Communications Arts from East Texas A&M in Commerce, graduating in 1995.

She has worked in the healing arts as the Artist-in-Residence at Methodist Richardson Cancer Center for 5 years.

Most recently, she has been selected to be in Craighead Green Gallery’s New Texas Talent show, and is working on a new series of large graphite drawings.

After graduating from East Texas A&M in Commerce, TX in 1995, Baronet worked as a graphic designer and art director for Neiman Marcus and David Carter Design Studio while painting in her own studio. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries, group and solo shows over the past 25 years. Her paintings are in both private and corporate collections, including the Hilton Anatole Hotel and Children’s Hospital in Dallas.
