Katia Ermi

Based in Donegal, Ireland, I work primarily in oil, and also use gouache and mixed media. Much of my work is made outdoors, shaped by the wildness and beauty of Donegal and its rural Irish landscapes. Inspired by a tradition of artists who deeply study northern nature, I explore en plein air painting to observe states of nature and being, and the quiet rhythms and traces that exist beyond human timeframes.
