Katrina Sadrak

Dr. Katrina Sadrak (b.1978) is an international artist based in Poland. Author of numerous individual shows and participant of over 150 collective exhibitions in Europe and Asia. Her paintings are in private and institutional collections: The Hindiyeh Museum & Gallery in Amman, Jordan; Haegeumgang Theme Museum, Yukyung Art Museum in South Korea; Nasca Contemporary Art Collection in Tianjin, China and more.

Dr. Katrina Sadrak engages in dialogue with astronomers, cosmologists and astrophotographers. She explores images of the Universe through traditional painting techniques. Her large-scale oil paintings express her fascination about the Cosmos and Space.

„My research has provided me with the opportunity to draw connections between art and science, to communicate concepts through my paintings.”

She paints in oils and her work is heavily influenced by her relationship with the medium.

- she continued to perfect her painting techniques in eastern China, where she studied eastern art and practiced traditional chinese lacquer painting and calligraphy.
