Kat Wright

I am a contemporary artist and art historian living and working in Scotland. I trained in the classical tradition at the renowned Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland.

Living in Scotland for the past 15 years the dramatic landscapes, weather and abundance of nature has given me much inspiration. However, closer to home, and being a keen gardener, the multitude of different plants, flowers and wildlife in my own garden has shaped my most recent series of works.

I have exhibited work in group and solo shows throughout Poland and the UK. My work can be found in numerous collections around the globe.

Kat Wright's studies in drawing, painting and sculpture began at the age of 14 when she started her art education at the Fine Art High School in Krakow, Poland. Kat progressed her art training gaining two separate art degrees, including a BA with Honours in Painting from Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts, and an MA in Art History from the Jagiellonian University, both in Krakow.
