EDUCATION
Kay Hare is a British oil painter whose atmospheric compositions explore light, memory and space. A graduate of the Byam Shaw School of Art (now part of Central Saint Martins), she held her first solo exhibition at just nineteen and has since exhibited internationally, including private bank spaces and luxury venues in Monaco and London. Her work is held in private collections worldwide and is available for select interior projects and direct acquisition.
Working in oils on linen, Kay's paintings range from richly textured, jewel-toned depictions of butterflies, hummingbirds and garden birds to more atmospheric, dreamlike compositions. Alongside her paintings, she also creates spontaneous pen and ink drawings — including a series sketched live from a balcony at the Hôtel de Paris during the 2013 Monte Carlo Grand Prix, and studies of London landmarks such as Tower Bridge and St Paul's.
Kay works in dialogue with collectors and designers to place pieces that resonate with space, narrative and visual harmony, crafting each work at scale for both private collections and interior settings.
