While for the most part, perpetually close in her pursuit of Sherlock Holmes, Kelly Jade King often gets distracted by rusty things, odd objects, brightly coloured paints and the sweet sweet sound of old men's voices.
Kelly-jade works with acrylic paints, India ink, watercolours and found objects.
Having been lost by the circus she was following around as a child she continues to embrace clown attire in the hope of being noticed. Despite this, she she spends most of her permitted time tinkering around on the floor of her home studio in Brighton, SA, eating avocados and sprouting off creative debris in the form of paintings, illustrations and sculptures.
Working on emerging as an artist since 2009, Kelly-Jade has been painting all of her life and is self taught in the arts. She currently works as an artist after hours while a tradesgirl during the week.
