Adetoun - Fadekemi Akinmboni

Adetoun Fadekemi Akinmboni, known professionally as Kemi Akinmboni, is a Nigerian-born, American-based contemporary abstract painter. Self-taught and deeply intuitive, she began her practice in 2018 and was selected as a New Futures artist at The Other Art Fair in 2022. She also exhibited in Mark Making: Celebrating the Art of Storytelling at Pencil & Paper Gallery. Her work has been recognized by Saatchi Art and commissioned for corporate spaces including Xfinity in Chicago and Slalom Consulting in Dallas, Texas.

After a season of stepping back, she has returned to the studio quieter, clearer, and more herself than ever. What is emerging is a reimagining, tender and intentional, rooted in the woman she is growing into.

She is currently based between Chicago and Indiana.
