Kehinde Sanwo

Kehinde Sanwo resides and practice professionally in Lagos, the city of his birth. He's highly recognized for his current body of works that boarders on intersection of art and history, serving as archive for Nigeria's modern history and daily life.
Sanwo's versatility is portrayed in his brilliant and dexterous usage of bold and rich colours from three media - Oils, Watercolor and Pastel.
He's style is Impressionism, rendered in Alla-Prima (wet on wet) technique. Be it studio works or outdoor paintings.
"My inspirations are drawn from nature, architecture, people and history. Viewers will find my artworks therapeutic." He said.
Kehinde Sanwo is married and blessed with two awesome children.

Kehinde Sanwo attended Baptist Academy, Lagos. '"My dream 'seed' of being a great artist was sown here".He said.
He proceeded to study fine arts at the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Lagos. Where he graduated with Higher National Diploma (HND) in painting, 1987.
