Keren Goresh-Freedman (b. 1977, Israel)
I have been an architect and a designer for many years. Only to realize that it's not enough for me and that I need to go back to painting because that is my true passion.
As an artist, I create art that is mainly conceptual
I am mostly using abstract collage and mixed media.
I try to tell a story through my work, using metaphors that will take shape as colors and lines.
Most of my paintings express with passion social and gender issues, I'm addressing them and how we perceive them.
Incorporating the female form and using faces, eyes and parts of the body to create collages. These images are characterized by strong and vigorous brush strokes using vibrant colors.
My challenge is to create the stylish approaches to relate my story.
I wish for the viewer of my art to experience visual pleasure from the piece and to be provoked by it.
