My work explores the fragmented inner landscape of the human condition and our evolving relationship with the world around us. Through layered abstraction, expressive figures, and bold color contrasts, I investigate themes of memory, identity, and emotional distance. The figures I depict often appear caught between states—defined yet dissolving, connected yet isolated—mirroring the ambiguity of lived experience.
Nature appears in my work not as a passive backdrop, but as a presence—sometimes haunting, sometimes consoling—woven into the psychological spaces my paintings evoke. I am drawn to the tension between structure and intuition, the known and the mysterious. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas or panel, I build my compositions through spontaneous marks, erasures, and redefinitions, allowing each piece to evolve like a palimpsest of thought and feeling.
Ultimately, I see painting as a form of visual archaeology—an act of uncovering something already present, waiting beneath the surface to be seen.
