Deeply rooted in Cubism, yet simultaneously transcending a post-graffiti aesthetic theory, Moises Ortiz's work employs an experimental media-driven technique that allows him to confront modernist ideologies with formal queries.
Utilizing basic elements as the foundation for his compositions enables Ortiz to bestow an intricate level of interdependence through the surface of his
canvas, granting a profound and emotionally charged analysis, that juxtaposes abstract expressionist matters with his innermost sentiments.
Ortiz seeks to give way to a moment of respite from the quotidian; an instance to acknowledge unrestrained abstraction seeking the sublime.
