Kirsten is an award-winning visual artist, painter and professional freelance photographer based in Denmark, Western Australia. She specialises in realist figurative painting with a passion for lighting, allegory and mood. Her recent artistic achievements include winning the 2016 (National) Australian Bluethumb Art Prize, 2015 City of Stirling Print Award, the 2013 Albany Art Prize People’s Choice Award, and placing as a national finalist in 2013 Black Swan Prize for Heritage and the 2012 Black Swan Prize for Portraiture. Kirsten’s artwork is represented in various private and public collections.

2003 BA (Visual Arts) major in Painting, Edith Cowan University, Perth WA. Studies included six months student exchange at Amsterdam School of the Arts, Netherlands
