Carlos Quiterio

Carlos Quitério is a visual artist living and working in a small city in the Portuguese west coast. Since 2002 he has been doing both digital and analog artworks for clients and art projects-

He illustrates interpretations of scenes, concepts, objects and people in a unique colourful way,

He also draws representations surreal scenes, sometimes structured overwhelming line compositions, made from spontaneously organised thoughts and words.

My drawings main characteristics demonstrate evidences of a controlled chaos. On them, implicit blueprint grids displaying a stage where over-populated components, organisms and elements coexist.

My takes are mainly inspired by daily visual memories mixed with dystopian ecosystems where misaligned blurbs, incoherent shapes or surroundings act together inside dysfunctional landscapes or portraits, composed by different parts of the whole, or as a whole made of many parts.
