Nikolay Krastev

“What I do is challenge people to see art in every facet of their daily lives”. Nikolay Krastev was born in 1978 in Kazanlak, Bulgaria, a town steeped in beauty, history and art. He finishes the elite High School of Arts in his hometown. Besides in the "cavalletto” painting, mastered there and also in one of the most prestigious universities in Bulgaria, he also excells in the field of interior design.
Yet, the artist is irresistably tempted to go beyond classic art and to experiment with different materials and techniques. Today, Nikolay resides in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria and finds inspiration in various objects and forms which he recreates in plastics and sculptures. His unique talent to resurrect scrap into art is gradually gaining him fame and recognition among collectors both in Bulgaria and around the world.
