EDUCATION
Kristie van Zyl was born in Pretoria South Africa. She did classical ballet from the age of six. This inspired her for many years and formed the basis for her art career today. Throughout the years she was able to experience the world of the arts intimately. Kristie also danced with the South African Ballet Academy, during this time she learned about self expressionand this has had a direct influence on her work today. Kristie is studying to complete a degree in Ancient and Art History through UNISA. She has also been working with MarieVermeulen-Breedt and Jaco van Schalkwyk on a daily basis since January 2009.
2007 : Winner, Tshwane Youth City Council Art Competition, Painting.
