Krystyna Siwek

Krystyna Siwek is a Polish contemporary artist working across painting, sculpture and ink drawing. Her artistic practice began in 2018 and has developed independently through intuition, experimentation and a continuous exploration of form, material and emotion.

Her visual language moves between biomorphic abstraction, surrealism and figuration. Human silhouettes, organic structures, fragmented forms and symbolic ambiguity recur throughout her work. Rather than representing the human figure literally, Siwek often reduces it to a trace, a gesture or a sign of presence.

Her work has been incorporated into institutional and public spaces in Poland and abroad. Selected projects include five large-scale sculptures from the Muses series for the Academy of Music in Wrocław, 21 large-format glass artworks for the University Hospital in Kraków, and eleven large-scale paintings from the ENERGIE series installed at the Research Institute for Precious Metals and Metal Chemistry (FEM) in Germany.

Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of presence — of the human figure, relationships, memory and the invisible connections that exist between people.
