Katrina Nicole

I'm Katrina, an emerging contemporary artist. My practice explores interiority and ritual, unconventional beauty, self- exploration and cultural reclamation rooted in Black diasporic identity.

Through exploration of various modes of media, mark-making, symbolic color, and simple figurative portraiture , I investigate how personal and ancestral histories live in the body and emerge through visual language. Each work functions as part of a larger inquiry—an evolving archive rather than a singular object.

My creative process involves a unique collaboration between human and machine. This synchronistic approach allows me to explore new dimensions of artistic expression and inspiration and produce works that are both empowering and intellectually stimulating.
