Animals, animal portraits, animal eyes, here in a deceptively realistic way, placed in unbelievable contexts: In his new exhibition "Animal Moment", Claus Schrag describes a graphic maturity and a lot of humor.



Claus Schrag surprised again. Not only because of its multiplicity, because who knows him is no longer surprised, but because of his nature. How is it possible for a woodcock to inherit a crocodile and then carry this animal, which is so superior to it, so superior in its beak? In reality and in the pub, for Claus Schrag only a demonstration for the woman, with the oil paint on canvas: "That only gets a dumb snipe," plays with the adjective.



Not only the humor, but the viewer of these fast surreal works is noticeable, but the almost realistic picture of the motifs. Thus the feathery-velvety plumage of a hen seduces you over it, or one can stretch its figure into the transparent shimmering water column, in order to feel the water.
