Kyoko Kikuchi

I am an abstract painter and asemic writing artist based in Kyoto, Japan. I work primarily with color, texture, and abstract mark-making to make the invisible visible — because I believe that much of what truly matters lies beyond what the eye can see. For me, painting is akin to meditation.
I work with a variety of materials, including acrylic, sumi ink, pen, and oil paint, but at the heart of all my work is a devotion to three guiding themes: "love," "life," and "no borders."
