Kyoko Kikuchi

I am an abstract painter and asemic writing artist born in Oita, Japan. I paint mainly with colors, textures and abstract letters to make the invisible visible, because I feel that there is much that is important in the invisible. Painting is similar to meditation.
I use a variety of tools such as acrylics, sumi ink, pen, and oil painting, but at the root of all my paintings are the thoughts of “love,” “life,” and “no borders.”

Majored in oil painting at Oita Prefectural Art Midorigaoka High School.
After graduation, she studied oil painting and silkscreening for four years at Oita Prefectural Junior College of Art and Culture. Obtained a curatorial certificate at Kyoto University of Art and Design. After working at a museum, she resumed painting in 2021.
