Artist, Painting and Drawing instructor living in Chicago.
Lisa Parenteau-DePinto is a Chicago artist as well as a faculty member at the North Shore Art League.
Born in Chicago she studied at the American Academy before moving to New York to continue her studies at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts.
Lisa's paintings are inspired by Chicago's urban landscape and the people who inhabit it. Many of the subjects are close friends while some are complete strangers. Striving for truth, vibrancy and intimacy, friendships evolve through the painting process.
"I feel most alive when painting from life, whether a live model, landscape or still-life. What evolves is a pure observation, the telling of a visual story, a story of the moment and a pulling from the most central part of me, the gut."
