Nikola Knapik

Nikola Knapik is a textile artist and the co-founder and creative director of Lale Studio & Shop, a family workshop in Chrzanów, Poland. She works side by side with her mother, master weaver Elżbieta, who has decades of weaving experience, together with a small team of weavers and a wood artisan who builds every frame by hand.

Each piece is handwoven on a loom from natural two-ply wool, built thread by thread, never printed and never machine made. The woven surface is shaped by hand and set into a solid wooden frame, so soft, tactile structure meets clean architectural lines.

Nikola's collections grow out of a love for interior design and a Japandi sensibility: calm, natural palettes, rich texture and organic forms inspired by water, wind and landscape. Her aim is simple. To create calm, warm objects that soften a modern space and stay with their owners for years.

In 2026 the studio exhibited at Carpet Diem Paris and Home Design Kraków. Lale Studio & Shop tapestries now live in homes in more than 45 countries.
