Laly Antonov

Being in love in drawing since childhood, I've become an artist already as an adult, after having tried several professional areas. All of them though have helped me to express my creativeness, whether it be interior design or objects and furniture decoration using decoupage technique on wood.
I started to paint with oils and acrylics first, but finally switched to watercolors, which have absolutely captivated me and become my real passion. Nowhere else do I feel such freedom in creation, letting me transfer the smallest nuances of color, its gradients and expressing my mood.
I live in Riga, an old European city on the shores oh the cold but very beautiful Baltic Sea. The theme of the sea, ships, sunsets and sky is what inspires me the most.
Also I love travelling and architecture of ancient cities inspires me much!
I have participated in several international exhibitions and competitions. I am also a member of the Union of Russian Watercolorists.
I believe that my artworks can also share these mood with you wherever you are just after looking at my painting on the wall in the living room or bedroom, which you have chosen.
