Lata Francis

I am Lata, a trained artist from the early 90’s based in Bangalore India .My approach to art has transitioned over the years from a fairly structured foundation toward the intuitive depth of abstraction a more free flowing style that allows my work to evolve organically into a soulful escape. I quite enjoy the spontaneity associated with creating a visual experience that is instinctive yet ambiguous while building an element of intrigue as I dabble with my art tools . Acrylic paints , pastels , crayons are my preferred choice of mediums and my current practice is defined by building and at times peeling layers of paint and texture to reveal intricate depths Injecting life on to a blank surface ,working around shapes and forms that emerge gives me an arty rush .I view art as a powerful medium to express myself and hope to establish a connection with those who choose to be a part of this visual journey
