Laura Plybon

Laura Plybon is an emerging American artist born in the Sixties. She studied fine art at Miami University and Carnegie Mellon University, leaving school at the age of 20 to pursue a creative life in New York City, where she supported herself and her family as a software engineer for over 30 years. This ultimately brought Laura to Madrid, where she led the Kindle Library team for Amazon Spain until 2024. Throughout this time, Laura continued her artistic development in parallel. As of 2024 Laura transitioned to life as a full time artist.

Miami University and Carnegie Mellon University BFA programs. Degree not completed.

Laura’s work has been presented in group exhibitions at Garaje Lola and Fucar22 Art Gallery in Madrid, and the National Arts Club in New York City. Her art appeared at the Artist360 Feria de Arte Contemporáneo during Madrid Gallery Week 2025.
