Lawrence Umenhofer

Lawrence Umenhofer is a published landscape and travel photographer, originally from Western Pennsylvania and now based along the Florida Gulf Coast. Spanning extensive domestic and international destinations, his visual journeys capture everything from remote wilderness to bustling cityscapes. This body of work reflects a deep appreciation for place, a passion for exploration, and a commitment to visual storytelling, drawing inspiration from the simple beauty and inherent potential in any scene and striving to create compelling photography-based artwork. His current portfolio features pieces from his 'Ethereal Landscape' collection, which includes both traditional photographs and unique digital oil images and his "Coastal" collection.

My photographic journey began with foundational training in traditional film photography principles and darkroom techniques, generously provided by my father, which ignited my passion for the craft. Building upon this, my expertise in digital photography and post-processing has been primarily self-developed through continuous exploration, dedicated practice, and the diligent study of various resources.
