Tracy Lee-Garshong

Tracy Lee-Garshong (b. 2002, Accra, Ghana) works at the intersection of surrealism, psychology, and social critique.

Drawing on a background in Human Resource Management and Psychology from the University of Ghana, her practice transforms intangible interior states into visceral, confrontational imagery.

Working in acrylic and UV-reactive pigment, Lee-Garshong creates symbolically charged compositions that illuminate what ordinary light conceals.
The UV layer is not decorative, it is structural, a metaphor for scrutiny, accountability, and the discomfort of seeing clearly.

Fallen (2024–2026), her debut series, confronts the seven deadly sins not as moral abstractions but as living psychological and political forces, rooted in Ghanaian reality. Pride becomes African political corruption. Greed is inseparable from the galamsey crisis poisoning Ghana’s rivers. Lust is reframed as the hunger for approval that demands performance through pain.
