Leeay Aikawa

Though I shift between styles and mediums, one strong commonality in my work is that I reflect a sense of freedom– freedom from the concept of time, conditioned thoughts, and ideas around Self. If painting is not available, I would cut and paste. If collage is not available, I would sew.
I intuitively choose ways in which I can articulate my emotions and deeper insights, that are specific to this moment in a pure manner without a logical mechanistic thought process.
