Ortynska Lesya

Lesya is a professional Ukrainian artist of contemporary art, currently based in France.
She has a passion for bright colors, contrasts in figurative semi-abstract artistic style.
Her works of art are part of private collections around the world.

"The main focus of my paintings is the Human as a sensitive organism whose mental
state is constantly changing from its lowest to the highest limits. Those emotional
changes of human nature vibrate to my personal history and give an echo of strong
feelings which I relive during my work by interpreting them to the language of the
structured colors on canvas. Through distorting elements of realism filled with many
little details, playing with the layers, I am superposing mysteries with various scale,
offering different level of reading, from a close inspection to a far glance."
