Lisa Gronseth paints on paper and mylar, then cuts and assembles the pieces. Through layering and collage, she creates the buildings and landscapes in a process that literally constructs illusionistic spaces. She has traveled extensively in China, India, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Northern Africa; and she has lived in England, Taiwan, Spain and the United Arab Emirates, where she taught at the American University in Dubai.
