Liana Brennan

I am the Gold Coast-based artist. The move from Eastern Europe to Australia found me having to adapt to a new world, giving impetus to the release and expression of heretofore unexpressed creative energies. Though not against more contemporary themes and modes of expression, i seek to infuse the canvas with a classical sentiment, using traditional oil painting techniques for reflecting the correlation between the person and world changing rapidly and the attempt of the person to find the hideout and rest through connection with nature and his inner self.

Although not formally trained as an artist, i attended the numerous long- and short-term courses and workshops both in Australia and overseas.
