Lilian Rosesan

With an MBA in art history, courses with professional artists, and a background in self-taught art, I seek, through my artwork, to explore the limits of abstractionism and to propose a dialogue between surface and light by investigating the phenomenon of iridescence on surfaces through the materiality of color.

My art invites the viewer to be present in the contemplation and appreciation of the work, evoking a sense of immanent power and serene, minimalist luxury, as well as a deep, atavistic connection with the iridescent qualities of the natural and human worlds. Through each brushstroke, I apply my technique to create rich, multifaceted, textured layers that evoke the iridescence phenomenon and the brilliance of colors in all their infinite possibilities, transmitting to the viewer my own intrinsic, emotional, profound, and unique experience when I paint.

I create them to be contemporary yet timeless because art evokes power, immanence, beauty, and contemplation. The real beauty is under your gaze, which you choose as your own, in your own way, and possess as part of yourself.
