”My painting is an explosion of color: 
I capture the beauty of a flower, almost, almost its perfume, the foliage of our rainforest, the light of the Caribbean. I include the human figure as a faithful witness and participant in this pictorial feast. They are reflections of life, of mine, of yours, of whoever feels compelled to look at it, of whoever believes that he, too, is part of this party. ... Sadness and darkness have no place in it.”
