Lilly Sakayam

I am a painter based near London with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting. My work is increasingly focused on botanicals, particularly flowers, exploring color, fragrance, and delicate structure through expressive mark making in oils and acrylics. I’m drawn to the dialogue between bold gestures and organic forms, letting paintings emerge intuitively. I strive to retain a sense of childlike simplicity and freedom in my work, while exploring the beauty and character of the natural world. I am a Christian, and my faith shapes my practice, bringing a sense of wonder and hope. Through my paintings, I hope people experience small glimmers of wonder and beauty, inspired by nature and landscape.
