Linda Maki

I'm an artist working from Menlo Park, California. I paint mostly in oils, on canvas, paper and metal. I am currently working on a PASTRY SERIES WHERE MY CANVASES ARE OLD COOKIE SHEETS with years of kitchen history baked right in, and used trays. I also paint old neglected trucks, boats and machinery--I AM DRAWN TO THEIR BEAUTY AND ACHING NOSTALGIA. I work in plein air doing landscapes of the enchanting and varied vistas in Northern California. I do the occasional portrait. My favorite artistic pastime is sketching people.

I've done workshops with Adam Wolnick in Northern California, Maddine Insalaco of New York, Jennifer McChristian of LA and Ben Brotherton, England/France. I studied with Keith Boyle at Stanford. Mostly I'm self taught.
