Lorena Bowser

Artist, writer, linguist, poet, teacher... Lorena was born in Southern California, studied three years at the University of Paris, France, and later resided twenty years in Mexico, where she raised her family and worked in a variety of positions: language professor, graphic illustrator, copywriter, translator/interpreter, and scientific research assistant, while pursuing her fine art on the side. She returned to California to continue raising her family while working as a language teacher.

Now living in San Diego, California - full circle to her birthplace and ready to write the next chapter, Lorena's love of life continues to inspire her language and art pursuits. In all areas of endeavor, she readily welcomes a challenge, and rarely misses meeting one successfully.

Lorena's talent is attested to by the fact that her work has shown in a number of juried exhibitions, including at the Modern Art Gallery, San Francisco, CA; and several years in succession at the North Valley Art League Annual National Juried Show; The Annual Shasta College Gallery Juried Show, the Annual Juried Photography Show, and Annual Juried Small Painting Show, Redding, California, in which she has received various awards.
