Elena Facchini was born in Florence the town that inspired her career. She began her training at The Liceo Artistico Leon Battista Alberti and subsequently, attended the University of Florence where she studied Modern History.
She began her personal career in 1990 at Foresto Marianini's workshop in the heart of Florence; demonstrating a great aptitude from the start, she reproduced copies of famous paintings using various techniques like oil, tempera, watercolour and India ink.
In 2004 she opened her own painting studio in Via della Stufa, initially devoting herself to trompe-l'oeil mural decorations and her work can still be appreciated in the DiVino wine shop, Trattoria Nerone and in several private homes.
In 2007 Elena introduced a new element into her life by becoming the instructor for a series of drawing courses at the Fuligno Senior Centre, discovering that she had a natural flair for teaching as well as painting.
In 2008 she collaborated with the publisher Vittorio Giudici as an illustrator for textbooks and in 2009 began teaching private drawing classes in her studio.
