Lolly Walton

I am originally from Delaware, but have spent the last 42 years living in Florida. I enjoy living in Melbourne, Florida now, where I am a member of The Art & Antique Gallery and Studio.

My art journey began in high school with my friend Brian. He and I took art together and challenged each other to do our best. Brian went on to art school and life took me down another path. It wasn’t until 1997 that another friend encouraged me to take watercolor lessons at Miami Dade Community College and Fairchild Gardens in Miami. I was hooked on watercolor. I enjoyed transforming a blank piece of paper into a piece of artwork that reflected my personality and style. It was the first time in my busy life I could sit still and concentrate on something I could not get enough of. After retirement, I relocated to Brevard County where I discovered a plethora of artistic talent. I jumped in with two feet by joining Strawbridge Art League and the Brevard Watercolor Society. I continued to improve my skills and techniques by taking lessons with local artists, Therese Ferguson, Linda Neal and Carole Wilen.
