Lorena Hennessey

Since childhood, I have always been interested in creating and painting. I was first enthralled by my initial encounter with art when I was a child. I was amazed by the colors and the shapes and forms, I knew from this moment that I also wanted to create.

I was fortunate to have an artistic grandmother that loved reading, painting and music. I would spend much time in her ceramic studio pouring ceramics, painting greenware, experimenting with glazes and watching her take out the finished pieces from her kilns.

I have always continued painting and creating. I continued my artistic growth by learning porcelain painting while living in Milan. Later in Hawaii, I focused on abstract painting with oils on canvas. In Buenos Aires, I practiced with glass & sculpture.

At present, my favorite mediums are oils and acrylics. I am currently experimenting with sculpture.
