Lorena Vera
Born in Chile, Lorena Vera is a New Jersey based Artist. Lorena became a painter as a form of expression and companionship influenced by her travels. After Graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Chile, Lorena decided to expand her career in New York City. Continuing her studies at the School of Visual Arts.
Her work mainly consists of animal and people portraits from around the world. She has proudly displayed her work in several wonderful venues throughout the world: the University of Chile, the University of CEC, the Jacob Javits center in New York City and the Monmouth Museum in New Jersey. As well as large scale murals around the Tri-state area.
After recovering from a long battle against breast cancer, Lorena is currently cancer free and managing her company, The Pickled Artist, a short painting experience for adults and children. As a commitment to giving back, Lorena is also teaching and sharing her skills at the Middletown Arts Center and Arts Unbound both non-profit organizations.
