Louise Marie

Based on the Côte d’Azur, Louise Marie is a self-taught artist originally from the UK. Inspired by the atmosphere of Paris and the luminous colour of the Mediterranean, her paintings explore the warmth and theatre of everyday public life - bustling cafés, rain-washed boulevards, markets, promenades, and figures gathered in conversation or passing through the street. Working primarily in water-soluble oils, she uses intricate layers of colour and expressive detail to create richly atmospheric scenes filled with movement, light, and observation. Her work has been successfully exhibited internationally, including in Spain, Hungary, and the United States.
