Lucía Buchar (Argentina, 1989) For the past five years she concentrates on the study of botany. For the past two years she paints commissioned mural in different parts of the world (Argentina,France, Spain and USA). She creates live paintings, performance, illustrations, prints, etchings and ceramics.

She is currently working at Argentina’s National Museum of Fine Arts where she coordinates the Capacity Development education department. She also works as a curator‘s assistant at the Museum. As an educator she teaches Art in Elementary School, Art History in High School and Art practice workshops for adults. She creates works as a freelance designer and illustrator. Besides that she continues educating and developing herself professionally as a researcher in different projects for Buenos Aires University.

Lucía is a Visual Artist, with bachelor’s and master’s degree in Fine Arts and an Art
Professor degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Between 2013 and 2014 she studied for a year at the Vincennes-Saint Denis University in Paris, France for a
degree as Master in Contemporary Art, while studying the theory and artistic practice of performance, drawing,
sculpture and painting.
Art is Lucía’s way to express herself since a very young age.
Lucía studied with acclaimed Argentinean teachers and artists, such as Diego Perrota, Fabiana Barreda,
Alejandra Roux, Ernesto Pesce and Carlos Fels. She took courses in woodcutting, drypoint, silk screen,
bookbinding, pottery and botanical illustration in the Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires.

She had three solo exhibitions: Botanic at the Asociación Cultural Pestalozzi gallery, Buenos Aires (2018); Energy at La casa de Al Lado gallery, Buenos Aires (2015) and Route line at Circe: Fábrica de Arte gallery Buenos Aires (2013).
Lucía often participates in group exhibitions at the Lebensohn Foundation, Buenos Aires and Le Hall Gallery, Paris.
