Luís Ribeirinho is a Portuguese visual artist and photographer whose practice investigates territory, time, and scale. Working between landscape-based observation and conceptual framing, he uses photography as a device of attention—revealing how places remain only partially legible, shaped by traces of occupation and by forces that exceed human measure. His work often navigates tensions between permanence and transience, the constructed and the geological, the visible and the overlooked.
Across different bodies of work, I approach photography as a way to slow perception and challenge the dominance of human scale. Rather than describing places, the images construct relational fields—where function becomes ambiguous, time stretches, and the territory resists a single reading.
Selected works from the series were exhibited in Portugal as large-scale metal prints (60 × 90 cm).
