Visual Artist, Photographer and Author
Luis Veiga is a Brazilian visual artist, award-winning photographer, filmmaker and writer. He lives and works in São Paulo.
His work has been featured in international publications and media, including The New York Times, National Geographic, Geo, Time and Newsweek. His photography has been exhibited in group shows internationally, including New York, Paris, Tokyo and London. His photographs can be found in public and private collections, including the Musée Français de la Photographie.
As an author, he has published the chronicles "O Caminho das Missões: Memórias, Fatos e Lendas" (2025) and "La Puerta del Infierno: Arqueología de la Conciencia" (2026), works that explore the intersection of history, memory and the human condition.
Currently, his portfolio features iconic imagery documenting the Fall of the Berlin Wall (1989) - a powerful visual record of the 20th century's most significant geopolitical shift.
International Award: “Canon Special Prize” in The “Third International Photographic Competition on the Environment”, hosted by The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and supported by Canon Inc.
