Luiz Jose Mota Filho

I was born in Matozinhos, Minas Gerais, Brazil on February 2, 1962.
I worked with art designer, graphic arts, creation, brand development and book covers.
I also did for a while filming and videos; and development of electronic content media.
I am currently a psychologist, working in a psychoanalytic practice.

I am self-taught, I read a lot, I try to understand my art through workshops.
I work with graphite, nanquim, airbrush, charcoal, pastel, watercolor and oil.
What I like the most is the production of faces in large formats, made in pencil, sepia, ink, watercolor and oil.
I am currently developing with greater interest works in Aquarela and Oil, with a strong brand in Art Academica.
I usually try to produce paintings with facial expressions. I do vibrant work in strong colors in the reproduction of feelings, emotions and behaviors.
As I like expressions I look for inspiration in cinema, and details in pictures where the faces attract my attention.
I paint animals, and landscapes, but the strong are faces.
