My work is about tapping into the power of symbols and archetypes in order to effect a change in the viewer's perception of reality. This often leads me to surreal worlds, where I explore the emblems of life and death. Death is symbolic of the ego’s ultimate surrender to a much larger universe. I started with large pieces depicting theatrical experiences as in Dusk of the Dead and The Hermit, then gradually assimilated the iconic compositional style of Tarot cards. This is evident in Beyond Good and Evil and Fortune. All of these paintings chronicle my inward journey for the past six years.
